I initially heard about Diminished Value from a friend and several months after my accident I prompted my insurance company to issue a Diminished Value check. They said they would get right on it and a week or so later I received a check in the mail for $1500. Initially I was happy but then became skeptical wondering if this was truly enough for my 2006 Maxima. I started my research online and found a few web sites to help me calculate the actual DV of the car.
